forward four-plex
Vancouver, BC
The project is a proposed Net-Zero energy multiplex consisting of four dwelling units, aimed at addressing Vancouver’s missing middle. The design thoughtfully responds to the surrounding community context while offering modern, functional living spaces for all residents. Positioned within the required setbacks of a 33-foot-wide lot, the building consists of two 3-storey townhouse units above-grade and two basement units, with the front half of the building mirroring the rear half, offering identical unit layouts that promotes design efficiency while simplifying construction.
At the rear a private carport accessed from the lane provides three parking spaces. Integrated into the carport structure are four individual lockable storage units offering additional storage for each dwelling.
